SINO Logistics Malaysia Dedicated Line is a one-stop cross-border logistics channel for cross-border e-commerce merchants and foreign trade enterprises. It integrates multi-modal transportation, customs clearance, last-mile delivery and multi-warehouse handover, meeting shipment requirements of different transit times, cargo types and delivery scenarios. The standardized and categorized business terms are as follows:
Malaysia customs clearance service is available for the whole channel with two optional modes to cover full-scenario delivery demands: (1) DDP Tax-Inclusive Channel: Full service covering customs clearance, import duties and all taxes. Customers do not need to handle destination tax and customs clearance formalities for one-stop receipt of goods. (2) DDU Non-Tax-Inclusive Channel: Customs clearance plus last-mile delivery service provided. The sea freight DDU channel for Malaysia already includes taxes. (3) Delivery Scenarios: Delivery available to e-commerce overseas warehouses, non-e-commerce warehouses, local corporate addresses and residential addresses in Malaysia. Delivery is unavailable for military camps, airport premises, bonded zones, hospitals, prisons, outlying islands and deep orchard/mountain locations. Deliveries are only made to the ground floor with no upstairs service. For residential addresses, please provide contact information and detailed address for verification before shipment.
Two core channels including air freight and sea freight are available according to clients’ timeline and budget. Transit time is subject to changes due to local government regulatory orders. (1) Air Freight DDP: 5‑7 working days for West Malaysia; 7‑15 working days for East Malaysia. Subject to government regulatory orders, transit time to East Malaysia may be extended to 20 days and will be updated in accordance with relevant government regulations. (2) Sea Freight DDU: 12‑15 working days for West Malaysia; 25‑30 working days for East Malaysia.
This dedicated line covers the whole of Malaysia, including all regions of West Malaysia and East Malaysia. Delivery is supported for commercial addresses, private residences and major e-commerce warehouses. Military camps, airport premises, bonded zones, hospitals, prisons, outlying islands and deep orchard/mountain locations are excluded from delivery scope.
Shipment weight calculation: chargeable weight is the greater value between volumetric weight and actual weight. Volumetric weight = Length × Width × Height (CM) ÷ 6000.
Cargo exceeding 120CM×80CM×80CM or with single package weight over 68KG must be placed on pallets and secured with strapping. Quotation must be consulted prior to shipment, and surcharges are available upon separate inquiry.
Over-length surcharge of RMB150 applies to long goods with one side exceeding 150cm.
Single package ≥40KG is deemed overweight cargo. An overweight surcharge of RMB1 per KG will be applied to the whole consignment.
For consignments under 30KG, only one package per shipment is accepted (multiple items must be packed into a single package by yourself). Multiple packages are allowed for consignments with total weight over 30KG.
Over-length surcharge RMB150 for any single side exceeding 150CM.
Overweight surcharge RMB1 per KG for single packages over 40KG.
For oversize and overweight cargo requiring forklift loading and unloading, fees will be charged based on actual incurred costs.
Air freight prohibited goods: counterfeit goods, liquids, powders, food, live cargo, pharmaceuticals, flammable & explosive goods, corrosives, optical discs, arms and weapons and other items restricted by IATA (International Air Transport Association).
Sea freight prohibited goods: toy guns (gun replicas), cigarettes, narcotics, live animals and plants, pharmaceuticals, flammable & explosive goods, corrosives, optical discs, arms and weapons and other items restricted by IATA. If cigarettes are seized, a fine of RMB5,000 will be imposed and the incident will be reported to the police.
(1) Premium local Malaysian logistics resources are adopted for stable delivery. Optimal delivery method will be matched according to regions and cargo types. (2) Deliveries are only made to the ground floor of consignee premises; upstairs service is not available. Contact person and detailed address must be verified before shipment for residential addresses. (3) Address amendment fee RMB30 per consignment before delivery. 100% success of address change is not guaranteed. If address is changed at transit hub or during delivery, redelivery fee will be charged based on actual cargo volume on an actual cost basis.
Customs Declaration Sea freight: LCL shipments do not accept separate customs declaration; FCL shipments support separate customs declaration.
Warehousing Service Please notify us in advance for bulk shipments. 3 days of free storage at transit warehouse. After 3 days, storage fee will be charged at RMB30/day/CBM for bulk cargo or RMB5/piece/day for small parcels.
Invoices Sea freight quotation includes issuance of transport invoices and service invoices.
The whole logistics journey and real-time cargo status can be tracked.
Customers are recommended to purchase insurance independently for valuables and high-value goods. We can assist with insurance application. Customers shall purchase sea freight insurance by themselves.
Air Freight DDP Compensation Standard ① Our company shall not bear any liability for cargo detention or loss caused by discrepancies between declared information and actual goods. All incurred costs shall be borne by the client. ② In case of cargo loss or severe man-made damage during transit, compensation will be three times the freight, capped at RMB600 per shipment. ③ No compensation for cargo damage or breakage of fragile goods. The shipper shall properly pack the goods.
Sea Freight DDU Compensation Standard ① Our company shall not bear any compensation liability for cargo detention or loss caused by discrepancies between declared information and actual goods. All incurred costs arising therefrom shall be borne by the client. ② If cargo is seized by customs at export port confirmed by our company, compensation will be RMB10/KG; no additional joint liability or cargo value compensation applies. ③ In case of cargo loss or severe man-made damage during transit, compensation will be three times the freight, capped at RMB600 per shipment. ④ Damage to cargo, breakage of fragile goods and rodent damage to food in warehouse are excluded from compensation scope. ⑤ No compensation will be offered for cargo damage, partial loss or delay caused by inadequate packaging by the shipper.
(1) Quotations exclude destination taxes, remote surcharges, fines, warehousing fees, return shipment fees and destruction fees. If the consignee refuses to settle such fees, all costs will be transferred to the shipper, who may not refuse payment.
(2) We will not compensate for transit delays caused by force majeure, local government regulatory orders, flight cancellation, vessel schedule adjustment, port congestion, extreme weather, Malaysia customs inspection and domestic / overseas security detention.
(3) Outer cartons must be waterproof and reinforced to prevent cargo damage during transportation. Labels must be intact and firmly attached. All costs arising from undeliverable shipments due to blurred, missing or damaged labels shall be borne by the shipper. For smooth customs clearance, “Made in China” mark must be clearly printed or pasted on outer packages.
(4) Quotations exclude destination fines, warehousing, other miscellaneous charges and return / destruction fees caused by the consignee. If the consignee refuses to pay the above fees, they will automatically be transferred to the shipper (company), and the shipper may not refuse payment for any reason.
(5) Sensitive shipments shall be marked with the symbol “#” in the remarks column of the waybill. Pre-inquiry is required for large consignments of sensitive goods. (6) Heavy rainfall occurs frequently in Southeast Asia, so cargo packaging must be waterproof. If packaging service is requested from our team: carton RMB10/pc, waterproof packaging RMB10/piece. Charges for wooden crate and pallet fabrication are subject to actual conditions.
For non-standard cargo types, special oversize dimensions, bulk customized logistics plans, complex inspection orders and pricing for extra-large cargo, separate inquiry can be submitted per shipment for confirmation.
