SINO: Large Project Export Logistics to Japan

In September 2010, SINO entered into cooperation with JMS Group, a top Japanese jeweller, to provide logistics support for its expansion of 300 stores.

This project belongs to JMS Group. The group planned to open 300 new jewellery stores across Japan within 2 months. The purchased goods were mainly jewellery display cabinets and related accessories.

Key characteristics of the cargo:

(1) Extremely large volume: an estimated 180 × 40HQ containers were required for shipment.

(2) Strict requirements for packaging and transportation. No collision or severe vibration is allowed, as most items are glass products.

 (3) Tight schedule: the whole shipment must be completed within 20 days.

(4) Scattered manufacturers and loading locations. Part of the goods needed to be consolidated and loaded at SINO’s warehouse.

 (5) Contract-based cooperation with strict standards in all aspects with limited room for negotiation.

(6) Multiple destination ports in Japan, including several remote Japanese ports.

This client was referred by one of our long-term partners. The original client had cooperated with us for years, mainly on jewellery express export business. Thanks to our smooth cooperation, after relocating to Japan, this client recommended SINO to the board of directors as the Chinese logistics provider for this project.

Upon receiving this order, SINO attached great importance to the project, prepared multiple operational contingency plans and held repeated communications with the client. We finally successfully fulfilled the transportation task and gained high satisfaction from the client. Long-term continuous cooperation was maintained afterwards.
