SINO Logistics Estonia DDP door to door line is an all-in-one cross-border logistics solution tailor-made for cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade enterprises. As the core gateway among the three Baltic States and a key logistics hub in the northeastern EU, Estonia relies on world-class deep-water ports including Tallinn, Muuga and Sillamäe, together with a dual-track sea, land and rail multimodal transport network. It features mature and efficient digital customs declaration by EMTA, low inspection rate and controllable logistics costs. It serves as a core transit base to develop the local Estonian market and cover Baltic and Nordic regions including Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden. Our DDP door to door line integrates multimodal transportation for multiple scenarios, official double customs clearance & tax inclusive service, nationwide delivery across Estonia and dedicated delivery to multiple overseas warehouses. It can fully adapt to shipping requirements for different lead times, cargo specifications and delivery scenarios in the Estonian market, providing import and export enterprises with a cost-effective, stable, compliant and controllable cross-border logistics solution for Estonia.
Below are standardized and categorized business terms for the Estonia DDP door to door line:
The whole line supports official double customs clearance for Estonia. Leveraging the customs clearance advantages of core ports including Tallinn Airport, Muuga Port and Sillamäe Port, it complies with Estonia’s EMTA digital customs compliant declaration standards and supports EU IOSS tax deferral compliance operations. We provide two mature customs clearance modes to cover full-scenario delivery demands including e-commerce stock preparation, private delivery and corporate consignee receipt in Estonia:
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): Covers customs clearance, duties, VAT and all related taxes. Customers do not need to handle local Estonian customs procedures or destination-country tax matters. One-stop operation until goods are signed for, compliant and hassle-free with zero operational pressure, suitable for most cross-border e-commerce shipment scenarios.
DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): Provides double customs clearance in Estonia plus nationwide last-mile delivery. Duties, VAT and other taxes arising in the destination country shall be borne by the consignee. Suitable for local enterprises conducting self-declaration and VAT/IOSS deferral compliant operations. Customs clearance data is traceable with strong compliance, helping goods circulate freely within the EU.
Core delivery scenarios: Supports dedicated delivery to mainstream overseas warehouses such as Amazon FBA, local e-commerce warehouses and third-party overseas stocking warehouses in Estonia. It also covers local corporate addresses, industrial parks, private residences, non-e-commerce warehouses, remote towns and other addresses across Estonia with no blind spots in delivery.
Taking advantage of Estonia’s hub location in the Baltic region and mature sea, land and air multimodal transport system, we have launched four main channels – air, truck, rail and sea – according to customers’ lead time requirements and budget, with clear tiered lead times, stable capacity and outstanding cost advantages to fit various shipping demands:
Air transport + last-mile delivery: Total transit time 5–12 days. Fast-track channel leveraging efficient digital customs clearance at Tallinn International Airport with fast landing inspection and high transfer efficiency, ideal for rush orders, emergency restocking for stockouts and expedited shipment of small samples. Airport customs clearance is efficient with timely logistics node updates.
Trucking + last-mile delivery: Total transit time 25–30 days. High-cost-performance main channel with stable lead time, no road congestion and low passage cost. Relying on the mature land road network in the Baltic region, it is suitable for regular bulk e-commerce restocking and daily foreign trade shipments to Estonia. It can rapidly cover neighbouring Nordic and Baltic countries including Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden, with remarkable regional transit advantages.
Rail + last-mile delivery: Total transit time 30–35 days. Featured advantageous channel for Estonia. Relying on stable capacity of China-Europe Railway Express and the local dual-track railway network, it enables seamless connection between EU standard gauge and cross-border broad-gauge transport. It is barely affected by weather and port congestion, featuring low inspection rate and few delays. Suitable for large volumes of general goods, with much better cost performance than ordinary Baltic lines.
Sea freight + last-mile delivery: Total transit time 45–50 days. Low-cost core channel. Supported by port resources of Muuga, Sillamäe and Tallinn deep-water ports with strong port throughput, sufficient direct sailing space and low freight. Suitable for large, heavy goods and bulk restocking shipments without urgent lead time to Estonia.
Acceptable cargo: Regular general goods, common battery-powered products. Most mainstream cross-border e-commerce goods can be accepted to meet the majority of export demands to Estonia, in line with local Estonian import regulatory requirements and EU compliance rules.
Weight range: 0.5KG – 3000KG, covering small samples, single medium & large parcels, bulk heavy cargo and large consignments, matching shipments of all sizes and meeting demands for scattered e-commerce parcels and full foreign trade shipments.
The last-mile delivery of Estonia DDP door to door line relies on top-quality local European logistics resources combined with Estonia’s highly digitalized and standardized domestic delivery network, featuring high nationwide coverage, balanced delivery, high signature rate and extremely low loss rate. Main partners include DPD, DHL, UPS, local Estonian Omniva postal network and local trucking teams. We intelligently match the optimal delivery method according to cargo dimensions, weight and delivery area.
Delivery coverage: Fully covers major cities including Tallinn, Tartu, Narva, Kohtla-Järve and Pärnu, as well as commercial zones, industrial parks, private residences and overseas warehouse addresses nationwide in Estonia; compliant delivery is available for towns and remote counties across Estonia.
Remote area rule: Estonia has sound logistics infrastructure in core urban areas with highly standardized digital delivery. Remote surcharges only apply to a tiny number of remote villages, forest and border sites. Please consult us in advance before shipment to avoid extra costs.
DPD is the primary last-mile carrier for our Estonia DDP door to door line. Parcels exceeding the dimension, weight or girth standards will incur extra handling fees or be rejected directly. Unified standards are as follows:
Compliant size: Longest side <100cm, second longest side <60cm, third side <60cm. Oversize surcharge: Parcels exceeding compliant size but not reaching rejection threshold: RMB 350 per parcel. Hard rejection rule: Any single side ≥160cm will be rejected.
Compliant weight: Actual weight ≤30KG (24KG for partial countries), volumetric weight ≤35KG. Overweight surcharge: RMB 350 per parcel if actual weight>30KG (24KG) or volumetric weight>35KG. Hard rejection rule: Actual weight ≥40KG will be rejected.
Circumference requirement: Length + width + height <2.3m. Girth requirement: Length + 2×(width + height) <3m. Girth excess fee: If girth exceeds 3m, cost will be charged at actual expense (200–1500 GBP, subject to the carrier’s official invoice at that time). Hard rejection rule: Parcels with girth (Length + 2×(width + height)) ≥400cm will be rejected.
Full-cycle visual tracking for Estonia DDP door to door line. From domestic pickup, main carriage, port customs inspection, last-mile delivery to final signature, cargo transit nodes and status can be checked in real time. One tracking number for the whole journey with transparent information and timely node updates, helping customers monitor cargo status in real time.
As a core digital customs clearance node in the Baltic region, Estonia has a mature EMTA electronic declaration system with standardized procedures and transparent supervision rules. Customs clearance for regular goods is stable with an extremely low probability of secondary customs clearance. Only for cargo transiting via other EU countries, there is a minimal possibility of secondary customs clearance. If secondary customs clearance occurs, all resulting fees including customs clearance charges, warehousing fees and return & redelivery fees shall be borne by the customer.
For shipments under DDU mode, customers must provide valid self-owned VAT, EORI and IOSS numbers. Official Estonian customs declaration cannot be completed without compliant tax numbers. If tax deferral is required, full compliant documents must be submitted in strict accordance with our requirements. Orders without prepaid duties will be charged a 3% duty handling fee.
Tax / IOSS deferral service is not 100% guaranteed for approval. If deferral application fails, clearance will automatically switch to duty payment on the spot. Final tax amount is subject to the Estonian customs tax invoice. The tax number for deferral must be identical to the declared tax number; product sales links must precisely match the VAT/IOSS number and shall not be modified arbitrarily before customs clearance. For DDU shipments and tax-deferred goods, any inspection fees arising from customs inspection will be charged at actual cost. Do not place orders if you cannot accept this rule.
We shall not be liable for compensation of lead time delays caused by force majeure, including but not limited to cancelled flights/vessels/trains, congestion at port interchange, extreme weather, customs inspections at home and abroad, EU policy adjustments, Baltic Sea navigation control and other factors.
Returns caused by non-logistics reasons such as consignee refusal, Amazon warehouse overstock in Estonia, abnormal delivery address, unsuccessful signature or incorrect consignee information, all resulting return fees, redelivery fees and warehousing detention fees shall be borne by the shipper at actual cost.
