III. Acceptable Cargo & Weight Range

2. Remote Area Rules: Remote mountainous sites and suburban remote zones in Austria may incur remote surcharges. Consult us before shipment to avoid extra costs.

V. Shipment Dimension, Weight & Girth Standards (Core carrier: DPD)

DPD serves as the primary last-mile carrier for Austria line. Parcels exceeding dimension, weight or girth limits will incur extra handling fees or be rejected directly. Unified standards are as follows:

Real-time tracking of cargo transit route, logistics milestones and cargo status is available from domestic pickup, mainline transport, port customs inspection to last-mile delivery and final signature. One tracking number for the whole shipment with transparent and timely information update for clients to monitor cargo status.

VII. Service Notes

1. Austria implements strict customs supervision and rigorous declaration standards. Regular customs clearance is stable with standardized inspection procedures, and secondary customs clearance rarely occurs. Secondary clearance may take place in rare cases when cargo transits other EU countries. All resulting fees including customs duty, warehousing, return and redelivery charges shall be borne by the shipper.

2. For shipments under DDU tax-exclusive mode, clients must provide valid local VAT and EORI numbers. Formal Austrian customs declaration cannot proceed without compliant tax IDs. Full set of compliant documents must be submitted strictly in accordance with our requirements for duty deferral application. A 3% duty handling fee will be charged for orders without prepaid duties.

3. Duty deferral service is not 100% guaranteed. If deferral application fails, customs clearance will automatically switch to duty payment mode. Final tax amount is subject to Austrian customs tax invoice. Deferral tax ID must fully match the declared tax ID, and product sales links must align with VAT number. Sales links cannot be modified arbitrarily before customs clearance. For DDU shipments and PVA deferral goods, inspection fees arising from customs examination will be charged at actual cost. Do not place orders if you disagree with this clause.

4. We shall not be liable for compensation of transit delays caused by force majeure, including but not limited to cancelled flights/vessels/trains, port congestion, extreme weather, customs inspection in domestic or overseas ports and EU policy adjustments.

5. Returns caused by non-logistics reasons such as consignee refusal, Amazon warehouse overstock in Austria, invalid delivery address, unsuccessful receipt or incorrect consignee information, all return fees, redelivery charges and warehousing detention fees shall be borne by shipper at actual cost.
