Formal dual customs clearance service is available throughout the line. Leveraging customs clearance advantages at core ports of Lisbon and Porto, our service complies with Portuguese customs declaration standards and supports compliant EU PVA tax deferral operations. Two mature clearance options are offered to cover full-scenario delivery needs including e-commerce stock replenishment, private delivery and corporate consignee receipt in Portugal:
(1) DDP Tax-Inclusive Channel: Covers full customs clearance, customs duties, VAT and all related taxes. Customers do not need to handle local Portuguese customs procedures or destination-country tax matters. One-stop service until receipt of goods, compliant and hassle-free with zero operational pressure, suitable for most cross-border e-commerce shipments.
(2) DDU Non-Tax-Inclusive Channel: Provides dual customs clearance in Portugal plus nationwide last-mile delivery. Customs duties, VAT and other taxes incurred in the destination country shall be borne by the consignee. It meets the demands for local enterprises’ independent tax filing and compliant VAT deferral operation. Customs records are traceable with strong compliance, enabling free movement of goods within the EU.
(3) Core Delivery Scenarios: Exclusive delivery to mainstream overseas warehouses such as Amazon FBA warehouses, local e-commerce warehouses and third-party stocking warehouses in Portugal; also covers nationwide addresses including local corporate premises, industrial parks, private residences, non-e-commerce warehouses and island regions in Portugal, with no blind spots for delivery.
Taking advantage of Portugal’s geographic position as the Iberian Peninsula gateway and mature multi-modal transport network, four main channels including air freight, trucking, railway and sea freight are available based on customers’ timeline and budget. They feature tiered lead times, stable capacity and prominent cost advantages to satisfy various shipping demands:
(1) Air Freight + Last-Mile Delivery: Overall transit time 5–12 days, expedited transport channel. Benefiting from efficient customs clearance at Lisbon and Porto International Airports, it is designed for efficient restocking, ideal for urgent orders, emergency replenishment for stockout and expedited shipment of small samples, with efficient airport customs clearance and timely logistics updates.
(2) Trucking + Last-Mile Delivery: Overall transit time 25–30 days, cost-effective primary channel with stable lead time and low cost. Relying on mature road network across the Iberian Peninsula, it fits regular bulk e-commerce stocking and daily foreign trade shipments, and can quickly reach neighboring Southern European countries such as Spain, featuring outstanding strengths in short-distance cross-border transshipment.
(3) Railway + Last-Mile Delivery: Overall transit time 30–35 days, stable advantageous channel for Portugal. Supported by stable capacity of China-Europe Railway Express, cargo transits via European hubs directly to core areas of Portugal. It is barely affected by weather and port congestion, with low inspection rates and few delays. Suitable for bulk general cargo and regular mass shipments, delivering better cost performance than ordinary Southern European dedicated lines.
(4) Sea Freight + Last-Mile Delivery: Overall transit time 45–50 days, low-cost core channel. Backed by core seaport resources of Lisbon and Porto with large port throughput, sufficient direct vessel space and low ocean freight. Suitable for large/heavy cargo and non-time-sensitive bulk stocking shipments to Portugal.
(1) Acceptable Cargo: Regular general goods, various common battery-powered products and mainstream cross-border e-commerce goods are accepted, meeting most export cargo requirements to Portugal and complying with local import regulatory provisions.
(2) Weight Range: 0.5KG–3000KG, covering small samples, single medium/large parcels, bulk heavy cargo and full bulk shipments, serving both small & bulk shipments and meeting demands for scattered e-commerce parcels and full foreign trade consignments.
The last-mile service of Portugal Dedicated Line adopts premium leading European local logistics resources together with dense and well-established domestic delivery network in Portugal. It features nationwide high coverage, balanced delivery, high signature rate and extremely low parcel loss rate. Our main partner carriers include DPD, DHL, UPS, as well as professional delivery providers CTT, GLS and local trucking teams in Portugal. The optimal delivery method will be intelligently matched according to cargo dimension, weight and delivery region.
Delivery Coverage: Fully covers major cities including Lisbon, Porto, Seville, Faro and Coimbra, as well as commercial districts, industrial parks, private residences and overseas warehouse addresses nationwide in Portugal; compliant delivery is available to domestic islands and remote western coastal areas of Portugal.
Remote Area Rules: The inland areas of mainland Portugal enjoy sound logistics infrastructure and high delivery standardization. Remote surcharges only apply to remote western coastal villages and island locations. Customers may consult us in advance before shipment to avoid extra costs.
DPD is the primary last-mile carrier for the Portugal dedicated line. Parcels exceeding dimension, weight or girth limits will incur extra handling fees or be rejected directly. Unified implementation standards are as follows:
Dimension Standards Compliant dimension: Longest side ＜100cm, second longest side ＜60cm, third side ＜60cm; Overage surcharge: Parcels beyond compliant limits but not reaching rejection threshold will be charged RMB350 handling fee per parcel; Hard rejection rule: Any side ≥160cm will be rejected unconditionally.
Weight Standards Compliant weight: Actual weight ≤30KG (24KG for selected countries), volumetric weight ≤35KG; Overage surcharge: RMB350 handling fee per parcel if actual weight exceeds 30KG (24KG) or volumetric weight exceeds 35KG; Hard rejection rule: Actual weight ≥40KG will be rejected unconditionally.
Girth Rules Compliant total sum of three sides: Length + Width + Height ＜2.3m; Compliant girth: Length + 2×(Width + Height) ＜3m; Overage girth fee: If girth exceeds 3m, fees will be charged on actual cost basis (200–1500 GBP, subject to official carrier invoice of current period); Hard rejection rule: Girth (Length + 2×(Width + Height)) ≥400cm will be rejected unconditionally.
Full-process visible tracking is available for Portugal dedicated line. From domestic pickup, trunk transportation, port customs inspection, last-mile delivery to final signature, customers can query cargo transit routes, logistics milestones and shipment status in real time under one tracking number with transparent information and timely updates, allowing customers to monitor cargo status anytime.
(1) Portuguese customs implements strict declaration supervision. Regular goods carry relatively high risks of secondary customs clearance. Secondary customs clearance may occur during local clearance or transshipment through other EU countries. If secondary clearance happens, all related fees including customs clearance fees, warehousing fees, return and redelivery fees shall be borne by the customer.
(2) For shipments under DDU non-tax-inclusive mode, customers must provide valid own VAT and EORI numbers. Formal Portuguese customs declaration cannot proceed without compliant tax IDs. For tax deferral application, full set of compliant documents must be submitted strictly as required. Orders without prepaid duties will be charged a 3% duty handling fee.
(3) Tax deferral service cannot be guaranteed 100% successful. If deferral application fails, customs clearance will automatically switch to duty payment on arrival. Final tax amount is subject to Portuguese customs tax assessment. The tax ID used for deferral must be fully consistent with declared tax ID, and product sales links must precisely match VAT numbers. Sales links cannot be modified arbitrarily before customs clearance. For DDU shipments and PVA tax-deferred goods, all inspection fees incurred during customs examination are charged on actual cost basis. Do not place orders if you cannot accept this clause.
(4) We shall not be liable for compensation of transit delays caused by force majeure, including but not limited to flight/vessel/train cancellation, port track change congestion, extreme weather, customs inspection at domestic and overseas ports, EU policy adjustment, traffic control in Southern European region.
(5) For returned shipments caused by consignee refusal, Amazon warehouse overstock in Portugal, invalid delivery address, unsuccessful signature, incorrect consignee information and other non-logistics reasons, all costs including return fees, redelivery fees and warehousing detention charges shall be borne by the shipper and settled on an actual cost basis.
(1) Stable handling for general cargo. Air transit takes 5–14 days with options of express air and standard air services, delivering quality on-time delivery;
(2) Acceptable sensitive goods, consolidated shipments, medical products, cosmetics, perfume, adult products, food, health supplements, beverages, electric vehicles, liquid & powder goods with commercial packaging (white powder excluded);
(3) Acceptable battery-powered goods, including electric bicycles with built-in batteries;
(4) Oversized, overweight cargo can be delivered via door-to-door trucking service with dual customs clearance & tax inclusive;
(5) In case of cargo loss, damage or delivery failure attributable to our side, we provide high compensation guarantee to protect customers’ interests;
(6) Every step of our shipment can be clearly tracked for status and location, setting industry benchmark for transparent service and cargo tracking among dedicated line providers.
(1) Custom one-off logistics plans can be provided for special cargo types, extra-large oversize dimensions, bulk customized orders, project cargo and complex logistics demands, to match individual shipping requirements one-on-one.
